Covid-19 Update
Last update 5th August 2020
Keeping myself, my students and their families safe is my number 1 priority here at The Emlyn Roberts School of Music during the Covid-19 pandemic, and in an ever-changing world, we all need to do our part to slow and prevent the spread of this virus.
Due to the current Government guidelines in relation to social distancing, face to face lessons will not be undertaken due to the nature of the enclosed space face to face lessons are normally conducted under. Maintaining 2 meters social distancing is simply not possible under these circumstances and is not practical. All lessons are therefore to be conducted online until further notice.
With the above restrictions in place, I am however looking at every possible measure to ensure that face to face lessons can recommence in a safe and secure way for everyone. Such measures include:
- Temperature screening on arrival to lessons
- Hand sanitizer stations (a mandatory requirement) including masks (a mandatory requirement in an enclosed space for anyone over the age of 11 unless a legitimate exemption applies) and gloves to be made available to all students (optional)
- Enhanced cleaning procedures between every lesson of doors (including door handles), chairs, piano, piano stools and other surfaces.
- Staggered arrival/finishing times of lessons to allow for social distancing and time for cleaning.
- Track and trace system
- Covid-19 self-certification forms
- Only when it is safe to do so and in accordance with Government guidelines, will I re-open my studio for face to face lessons. When this does happen, all students/parents will receive guidance either via post or email on specific Covid-19 measures and procedures relevant for face to face lessons.
Thank you all so much for your understanding and patience in these difficult times!
Stay safe, stay well and be kind to each other.
Leila
